Message from the Secretary

To all Wantage Tennis Club Committee members from the Secretary.

First of all, on behalf of the committee a big thank you to the 30 people who attended the AGM this Tuesday. It is the participation of the many, not just a few, that  makes the club a great place to enjoy a game of tennis.

At the meeting we also said goodbye as a club to last year’s chairman Dave Saunders who is leaving the club. Dave did a lot up front and behind the scenes for the club during his year and we are sorry to see him go.

A couple of other points.

(1)                        If you would like to see a copy of the committee minutes when they become available, rather than looking in the clubhouse, just let me know and I will put you on the distribution list.

(2)                        Please sign up to British Tennis before November 30^th so that the Club can have an increased allocation of Wimbledon tickets! It’s absolutely free!    You will also become eligible for Wimbledon tickets yourself. You can sign up at http://www.lta.org.uk/britishtennismembership/
